Vidya
Poshak, India is a registered NGO, established in 2001, working towards
empowering the impoverished, meritorious student community to pursue their post SSLC education, increase their employability through skill upgradation and transforming them into contributing citizens.
Various institutional and individual generous donors fund the programmes of Vidya Poshak and committed volunteers implement the programmes. In this way Vidya Poshak is enganged in rejuvenating the culture of trusteeship.
Mission: Empowering student community
Vidya Poshak assists the eligible students with financial assistance, library support and skill based training.
Objectives:

meritorious students who have no means for
continuing their post SSLC education due to financial
difficulties

Motivate peoples'
participation at large to contribute for the
development of education

employability through skill based training

free text books to
economically constrained meritorious students

11700
students, a sum of more than
Rs. 4.29 crore
has
been distributed as financial assistance in last 7
years covering 20 districts of Karnataka & 3
districts of Maharashtra.
Distributed more than
23000 text books
to
meritorious but poor students through 12 libraries/
learning centers
More than
1000 students
trained in English
Language and Communication skills
More than
300 volunteers
rendering service.
