Vidya
Poshak started the libraries and rural book banks so as to provide text
and career books.
Objectives:
-
To provide text books
to financially disadvantaged and meritorious students.

To cultivate reading
habits among the student community.
-
To develop network of
volunteers for the development of such libraries.
-
To provide
computer, reading facility and training in various skills
for students.
Main Features:
Every student inducted in
the Nurture Merit Program receives a set of academic text books through
a network of 6 Libraries and 59 rural book banks. These book banks are
located in small towns / rural places and are run by volunteers in their residence at zero cost.
Students can access computers, attend various
training programs and get much needed infromation on career
guidance, skills development, etc.
Highlights

55,000 books on different subjects are lent to
the students.

Vidya Poshak has invested more than INR. 1.00
Crore ($200,000 USD) in books.
-
All 6 libraries also provide space for youth
activities.
